How to use your BOWdometer

Now that you have attached your BOWdometer and performed the short SETUP process, you are ready to start shooting!  You don't have to do anything else to the BOWdometer -- it takes care of everything.

When you want to see how many shots you have taken, and how consistent you are shooting, you can look at the BOWdometer screen.

The screen will automatically turn itself off after about ten (10) seconds of inactivity. If the screen is blank, just gently move the bow or press the top button until you see the display turn on.

SESSION counter

Press the top button until you see "SESSION" on the display. Press the bottom button to select the "SESSION" information.

The left side of the display will show the number of shots you have taken in this SESSION. The right side of the display will show your Xi score (pronounced "sigh"). The display will show the Xi score from your last shot.

Press the bottom button and the display change to will show your average Xi score from this SESSION. Press the bottom button again to return to the last shot.

The actual Xi number doesn't matter -- your objective is to make your Xi scores as close together as possible.

TOTAL COUNT

Press the top button until you see "TOTAL COUNT" on the display. Press the bottom button to select the "TOTAL COUNT" information.

The display will show the number of shots recorded by that BOWdometer over it's lifetime.

BOW SETUP

Press the top button until you see "BOW SETUP" on the display. Press the bottom button to enter the "BOW SETUP" process. See the article "How to setup BOWdometer" for details.

POWER OFF

Press the top button until you see "POWER OFF" on the display. Press the bottom button to turn BOWdometer off.  Hint: it's the one with the checkmark on the display next to it.  If you got here by mistake, just press the top button to exit this screen.

BOWdometer will automatically turn itself off after two (2) hours of inactivity.
